Hot Springs Wraps Up Record-Setting Community Festival Weekend
A weekend community festival in Hot Springs drew its largest crowds yet, organizers said, filling the downtown historic district with live music, food stalls, and art vendors and giving local businesses a welcome midsummer boost.
The festival stretched along the city's famous bathhouse row, mixing regional musicians on outdoor stages with rows of makers selling everything from pottery to hot sauce. Restaurants and shops reported brisk business, and several hotels booked up for the weekend.
Organizers said the event has grown steadily as word spreads beyond Garland County, drawing visitors from across the state and from neighboring states. They credited a lineup that leaned on local talent and a family-friendly layout that kept crowds moving.
City officials called the weekend a reminder of tourism's importance to the local economy. Planning for next year's edition, organizers said, is already underway.
